I just got back from Bangalore after six weeks. I had thought I'd stay longer, test my resilience out in the world as it is. But honestly, it didn’t spark any real desirability in me.
City life feels like a beautiful kind of chaos - and an ugly one too. People are deeply driven: chasing careers, building wealth, working on health, trying to stabilize their lives, planning futures, seeking meaningful connections. I witnessed all of that. And yet, most of the time, the comfort and convenience around them seemed to push them into a linear pursuit of what they think they want.
Anything outside that familiar track often unsettles them - it challenges their understanding, raises doubts about their choices, or makes them form strange assumptions about things they don't really grasp, at least from my view.
Anyway, more on the city later.
I'm back in the mountains - the Himalayas, Dharamshala, my home.
Before returning, I had mapped out a long list: how I would shape my next phase of understanding, what to do, what to avoid, all of it carefully laid out.
I had even drawn up a broader blueprint of what I should be doing overall.
But now, I'm leaning towards setting simple, steady goals on a quarterly rhythm - a bit like how we used to do it back at Jaaga Farm or HackerFarm. Yeah, the April went away quickly. So i would just focus on May-June.
Achievable Goals: May–June 2025
1. Personal Health and Inner State with Yoga and Silence
Stay committed to daily Ashtanga yoga practice - to maintain health, deepen silence, and stay rooted.
Let silence be the main enabler for everything: work, decisions, creativity, connection.
Focus on expanding awareness: feeling more connected to nature, to real problem statements, and to solutions that genuinely help people.
2. Learning and Projects
Dive into Generative AI:
Learn foundational and intermediate concepts.
Build small projects - not chasing complexity, but seeing what truly excites me and where my creativity finds flow.
3. Mentoring and Community Building
Begin early planning for training/mentorship projects (target: Oct–Dec 2025):
Tinker with ideas.
Identify the kind of people and spaces that align with silent, impactful work.
Design a lightweight operational structure.
Keep a strong community angle - it's not about scale, but value creation through real human connections.
4. Personal Growth and Solitude
Prioritize solitude and silent empathy - staying available to help, but without emotional entanglement.
Continue selective reading: finish The Mountain Is You and Patanjali's Yoga Sutras by mid-May.
5. GenAI Bootcamp Contribution
Keep putting structured weekly effort into curating and building the GenAI community around the Bangalore project. Also, help Dinesh at Tumkur to make a one month learning camp at DD Hills farm.
Manage remotely, but keep the spirit high: treating it like a live ecosystem so that it gets quiet nourishment.
6. Logistics and Travel Dreams
Apply for and get my passport done (urgent priority).
Start early visioning and basic research for countryside stays - places where silence, slow living, and nature can deeply nurture the next phase.
Hmm.. this looks good to begin with.
There are more things to share, let it unfold with time and how i navigate. At this point, i do not seem to be happy or sad. It’s just neutral phase.
